Documentation
Up and running in five minutes. The fuller guide is in the package's README.md。
1. Download an ordinary file
- Open CatFrame, click "Add URL" in the toolbar (or press Ctrl+N);
- Paste the link → choose the save folder and thread count → "Start Download";
- In the task list you can see progress, speed and time remaining.
2. Download a video (Bilibili as an example)
- Paste the video page address;
- The app automatically opens aquality selectionwindow — just pick a tier;
- For tiers that require sign-in (1080P high-bitrate / 4K, etc.), go to "Settings → Advanced", pick the browser you use, or specify an exported sign-in info file.
3. Manage tasks
Right-click a task:Start / Pause / Open / Open folder / Delete。
- "Pause"only stops the transfer; what's already downloaded is kept, and clicking "Start" willresume from the breakpoint;
- "Delete" asks whether to also delete the local file (it doesn't by default).
4. Activate Pro
- On theOrder page choose a plan and place your order;
- After payment, use your order number on theOrder lookuppage to retrieve your license key;
- Open CatFrame → "Settings → Pro License" → paste the license key → Activate.
After activation the appverifies the license offline, so even if the server is temporarily unavailable it won't affect use (a limited offline grace period is allowed); one license key works on 1 device by default (unlink the old device first when switching).
5. FAQ
- Slow speed?Try increasing the thread count; some sites cap each connection, so multi-threading is what helps. Also check whether "Settings → Global speed limit" is set very low.
- Shows "Unknown publisher"?That's because the installer isn't code-signed; just click "More info → Run anyway". You can also verify it yourself with the checksum — seethe download page。
- Only low quality on Bilibili?When not signed in you only see public tiers; configure the cookie to see higher ones.
- A task shows as failed?Double-click the task to open its details; the log there states the exact reason.
