Last updated: 2026-10-15 · Principle: collect as little as possible, and nothing we don't need

1. What we don't collect (most important)

CatFrame's analytics featurenevercollects, uploads or stores any of the following:

  • The URLs you download;
  • File names, save paths and downloaded content;
  • Your accounts, passwords, cookies or sign-in credentials;
  • Identity information such as your name, phone number or ID documents;
  • Your browsing history or clipboard content.

This data always stays only on your own computer.

2. What we do collect

To understand "which features people actually use and which version crashes more", the client reports the followinganonymized aggregateinformation:

ItemDescription
Software versione.g. 0.1.0
Operating systeme.g. Windows 11
Device identifierA randomly generated string from the client,unrelated to your hardware; before reporting it passes through an additional salted hash, so the servercannot reverse it
Feature usage countse.g. "launch count", "downloads completed", "video tasks" — only counts, no content
Crash informationThe error location and stack trace, for fixing bugs; no file paths or URLs

3. About turning it off

Analytics reportinghas no on/off toggle, so the client keeps reporting the small set of anonymized aggregate information above.

Here's why: none of this datacontains anything that can identify you personally — no accounts, no hardware fingerprint, no file paths, no downloaded URLs or file names, and the device identifier is randomly generated and salted-hashed again before reporting. We use it only to judge "which features are worth investing in and which version needs priority fixes"; it can't be used to track what you're doing.

If you don't want any data leaving your computer at all, you can choose not to use the Software, orContact Uscontact us to explain your situation.

4. Retention and sharing

  • Analytics data is kept by default for 180 days, after which it can be purged;
  • Weneversell, rent or provide analytics data to any third party for ad targeting;
  • we disclose it only when the law explicitly requires it.

5. Pro licensing

When you activate Pro, the server records: the license key, the device identifier's hash, the activation time and the software version. These are used fordevice-quota managementandafter-sales verification, and contain no content information. When switching devices, you can unlink from the backend or use the client's "self-service unlink".
